I just started playing the Fatal Hearts demo,and I'm curious what the rest of you think of it so far.
The graphics are beautiful, though it's a little hard to tell what you're supposed to do on some of the puzzles. I like the storyline, but it's completely different than I thought the game would be. I was hoping you'd be able to develop your characters' skills and stats like in Cute Knight, but I guess you just have to follow the plot and make choices as they're allowed.
The game also seems slow--both in plot development and in actual play--it seems to take a few clicks to get my selection to register, and once it does, it take s a while to load.
I've been waiting so long for this game and I really want to love it, but I'm just a little disappointed so far, I guess. Irealize I'm still just on the demo and that will make a difference.
I think what I really want is Cute Knight 2 haha, so I shouldn't hold it against Fatal Hearts.
What are your thoughts?  |

Yes, this is a slower sort of game, very focused on the story. However:

This sounds like either your computer is struggling to run the game and being slower than it should be (if you have an old computer / bad graphics card) or else that you usually play such fast-paced games that the couple of seconds it takes for screens to fade out is registering to you as lag.
I'll PM you a code to disable fade effects, and you can see if that makes the speed better for you. |

Incidentally, I've noticed what seemed like a similar thing once or twice - in particular the park/police puzzle, I found the game failed to register a step every now and again, particularly when I was trying to move fast. After some experimentation it seemed in that case like I wasn't able to take a step while the policewoman was moving... I guess this is a puzzle-mechanic thing, but it made me wonder at first. |

Well, I tried out the demo and I loved it so much that I ended up buying the game the next day. (I don't usually do that with games. Take my time thinking on whether to buy them and all.)
I like how the story flows. It feels like reading a book and I love making choices and all.
I haven't finished it yet, though. That's mostly because I'm stuck on the car puzzle at the moment. It's kind of scary trying to get away from Randy and my maneuvering skills are so bad. Guess I'll be posting lots of questions about the game.

Well I brought it straight away didn't even bother with the demo as I knew i'd like it. The graphics are beautiful, I love the deeper story line, I guess I thought it be more like Summer Schoolgirls than Cute Knight and It kind of is but a lot darker. I'm a fair way through my first play and I keep trying to guess what going to happen, I think I know who the mysetrious guy might be  The puzzles are great, I really struggled with the maze, and the car one foxed me a bit, I wanted to just run Randy over to get rid of him  so far I'm loving it
